Have you heard of this challenge? Created by two of my favorite blogs, Young House Love and All Bower Power, the challenge is to stop pinning and get creating! I am cheating a little because I am sharing a project I made a few weeks ago…but, I’ve got PLENTY of pins, so I’m now deciding what to do next!
This was my inspiration photo on Pinterest:
I knew I had to make one for Mark with his beloved home state of Texas. This project was so easy, took about 10 minutes to do and bonus! I had everything I needed on hand (which is always good, since carting three boys under five around the craft store is probably the equivalent to getting teeth pulled!)
Here is my version:

I think it’s super cute and I can’t wait to add it to my gallery wall that I am working on for our bedroom!
cute!
Thanks for the shout out 🙂 Great project- love the colors you chose! Happy Tuesday!
simple and gorgeous!
Thank you!
This is adorable! I DIYed one of these a few months ago and I just love it. My heart is in the same place on my Texas! Is that San Antonio or Austin? 🙂 Mine is SA!

It's San Antonio, where my husband grew up! 🙂 love your blog, by the way!
Very cute! I have a similar idea pinned on my boards. 🙂
I pinned your state map cut-out and did it for the latest edition of the Pinterest Challenge. Mine looks different from yours but I am still super happy about how it looks. I've provided a link so you can see it if you like.
Thanks for the inspiration. 🙂
I love this and want to try to do something similar for a Christmas gift. Is there a tutorial anywhere?
Seems like the link is gone! This is the tutorial I used: http://lollyjane.com/state-pride/
Hope that helps!
