Happy New Year! Time for fresh starts and new possibilities! You would have laughed to see me during the last few weeks of December – my goal planning quickly got a little out of hand this time around. So many ideas, so many things I’d love to try and do! My notepad was filled to the brim. In the end, I whittled my ambitious list down to eight major areas that I’d like to work on in 2020:
I WANT TO SPEND TIME WITH GOD EVERY DAY.
I WANT TO KEEP ON, KEEPIN’ ON WITH OUR DEBT FREEDOM JOURNEY.
We aren’t exactly where we want to be, but we aren’t quitters! Hoping for significant forward progress in 2020, but we’ll be grateful for any progress at this point.
I WANT TO BE A BETTER STEWARD OF MY HOME.
I WANT TO HAND WRITE 52 PIECES OF MAIL.
A letter, postcard, care package, thank you note – I want to send out something every week.
I WANT TO WRITE 150 BLOG POSTS.
Every year I reevaluate whether or not to continue writing in this space. And after some reflection, I’m just not ready to let it go yet! Blogging is still one of my favorite hobbies.
I WANT TO READ 52 BOOKS.
I WANT TO DO SOMETHING SCARY, BUT EXCITING.
I want to take the first steps for postpartum doula certification.
I WANT TO CREATE A FAMILY CULTURE OF GENEROSITY.
Our giving ebbs and flows, but I’d like to be more intentional in this area. I’d like to bring back the 12 Months of Kindness project (inspired by Tabitha and her family), but with a little twist. Details hopefully to come once I nail down a more concrete idea!
