The Big White Farmhouse

intentional living, little by little

About

Welcome to the Big White Farmhouse

Hey there! I’m Ashley, a wife and mother to six children, ages 18-8. Like most, I began blogging in 2011 as a way to share photos of my growing family to far-away relatives. However, through the years, this space has grown into a place to record my adventure into intentional living. A quote I love is from Diane Ackerman:

I don’t want to get to the end of my life and find that I lived just the length of it. I want to have lived the width of it as well.

This is what I think of when I imagine an intentional life. A life not filled with more things, but filled with the best things. A life filled with more memories than material goods. A life filled with laughter and good food with the ones I love most.  I’m on the hunt for the good, the true and the beautiful.  I hope you’ll find a little bit of that while you’re here.

Thank you for stopping by!  Be sure to introduce yourself and say hello. You can also contact me here.  xo
