The Big White Farmhouse

intentional living, little by little

November 13, 2012

{month of thanksgiving} Day 13: An Inexpensive Upgrade

Day 13: Today I’m thankful that a can of paint can make a house feel a little more like home.  We’ve been living with bright yellow walls (you can catch a bit of them in this post) that I have been anxious to change.  We took advantage of Sherwin William’s 40% off sale and a few hours later, I had a room that felt a little more like mine.

P.S. These pictures were taken late at night with all artificial lighting.  Better pictures to come!

Wowzers! Yes, that was a very yellow yellow for sure. 40% off is awesome. Nice work, mama!

Yay! Its really exciting to get rid of that yellow! It feels so good to have part of your home taken care of and improved right? Good for you getting that done with such a little baby!

Wow, that looks really nice! I always just assumed paint was expensive. I guess my lack of DIY knowledge is showing!

What a difference from the yellow walls! Great job – paint is a powerful way to change a room.

You are so right. The new paint is so calming compared to the yellow!

I love how paint can so completely transform a space, especially when it's so (relatively) cheap and easy!
