This week’s etsy find: Julie’s Adorabowls & Jewelry!  The jewelry in this shop is gorgeous – simple, feminine, and just plain lovely.  So hard to choose, but I think my favorite is the Row of Pearls Necklace.  It would make any mamma feel just a little fancy in her spit-up stained t-shirt and jeans!

3. Sterling Silver Sparrow & Coin Pearl Necklace
4.  Sterling Silver Heart Necklace
5. Freshwater Pearl Bracelet
6. Garnet Glass Drop Earrings
7.  Aqua Chalcedony, Pearl, and Initial Gold Necklace

{etsy finds} Reusable & Functional Design with Harriet’s Haven

Fall is coming.  Fall is coming.
That has been my mantra lately.  Between a teething baby, bickering big boys and the heat (oh the heat!), I’ve just been in a funk.  And a funk is never good.  So, I’ve tried to focus on the fact that everything is just for a season and nothing lasts forever, even though it can feel that way!  With the fall comes cooler weather and a new routine (PreK!)…and I’m praying our peaceful home will resurface!

All that to say, I went onto etsy on a search for things to aid us in our arrival of fall and found a great shop: Harriet’s Haven!

1. Message Board  2. Burlap Gathering Bag  3. Four Dinner Napkins  4. Reusable Sandwich Bag  5.  Reusable Sandwich Bag

I love the gathering bags (#2) and I think they are the perfect thing for boys who like to collect “stuff” outside.  Simple without being too girly, which is a big requirement around here.  I also really liked the reusable sandwich bags (#4 and #5), both for their intended purpose, but also for gifts.  Wouldn’t they be so cute for the neighbors, with cookies or another yummy treat tucked inside?  So cute!

Shop here.

{etsy finds} Personalized Gifts from Elm Studios!

I think it’s safe to say that I love etsy.  LOVE.  I love the variety of products.  I love how inspiring the different artists are.  I love how I can always find something for every person on my birthday/Christmas/anniversary list.

It’s just recently, though, that I have discovered a new (and maybe the best) reason for shopping on etsy: through my purchases, I am supporting someone who is following their dreams.  I love the idea that I am helping a recent college graduate pay off his student loans.  I love that I am helping a mamma stay home with her kids.  I love supporting that girl who’s taking a leap of faith to produce things she loves.  Etsy makes the relationship between buyer and seller so personal…and for me, I think that is so cool.

So.

On that note, I present to you my latest find: Elm Studios!

1. Love You Forever Bowl  2. Simply Love Bowl  3. Wish Bowl  4. By the Seashore Bowl  5. Personalized Flower Garden Wall Hanging  6. My Sunshine Bowl

Elm Studios makes beautiful personalized bowls and wall hangings.  I love the simplicity of the designs – these would be great gifts for so many occasions!  Wouldn’t the Wish Bowl (#3) be so cute at a baby or bridal shower?  You could have the guests write wishes to the new baby or bride and groom, and then they could keep the bowl as a momento.  I love the Seashore Bowl (#4) for the summer.  It would be so darling on an entry table holding your keys and arranged with some other ocean-inspired decor!  And the Love You Forever (#1) bowl?  My favorite.  So so sweet.

Check out Elm Studios here.

{giving} Stephanie’s Get Well Box

My sweet cousin Stephanie had surgery a few weeks ago and will be recovering for the next 4-6 weeks.  I wanted to send her a little something to lift her spirits and let her know we were thinking of her!

I purchased a few little things for her on etsy and had such a great experience with each of these sellers!  I’m recording them here, so I can be sure to return again soon.

25 Rainbow Stripe Straws from HeyYoYo

A little bit about the seller (I love to know the stories of the people I purchase from!): “Hey Yo Yo is Amanda Graff, cupcake baker and glitter duster. My diploma is from The Culinary Institute of America in pastry, but I developed my love of all things crafty while working for Martha Stewart Television as a recipe developer. I’ve currently traded my whisk in for a glue gun and have never been happier.”

“Make Your Own Happy” Print from DUDADAZE

A little about the seller: “Mom of three boys who enjoys creating charming little pieces of art. I am a rubber stamp artist for Sugar Nellie, have various other online shops, and a line of figures, shadow boxes and wall art through Demdaco.”

DIY Mini Altered Notebook Journal Inspiration Kit from PrettyGirl Supplies

A little about the seller: “We work as a team of aunt and niece. We have always been into crafts and are anxious for new found projects and ideas.”

The Packaging: I ran out of tissue paper so I decided I would use a little fabric to wrap up the items instead!  Even the fabric has a story: it is from my grandmother’s collection that she has recently passed on to me!  I finished it off with some floral ribbon and a note and off it went to Steph!

A quick recipe that I included in Stephanie’s package: PEACH TEA!  This drink is delicious and so refreshing for summer!  I like it on its own, but a yummy alternative is to fill your glass with half tea/half lemonade!  You can also add a frozen peach to your glass…that’s a fun touch when you’re entertaining!

Pour 4 cups boiling water over 8 teabags.  Steep for 4-6 minutes.  Remove tea bags.  Add 1/2 to 3/4 cup of sugar and then add 4 cups cold water.  Stir and chill.
